I’m emotional just writing the title of this post. I actually don’t even know how to express my feelings right now, except to say that I honestly believe this room came together in the exact right way for this exact Baby. There were times in my life when I never dreamed I’d be writing a post about a nursery reveal – I just couldn’t wrap my head around any of it. But we’re here now…and somehow, I feel as if this is the direction my life has been heading the entire time.
Some of you have seen that we welcomed our sweet baby girl Piper into the world on her due date – two weeks ago. We have been spending the last days getting to know each other and trying to figure out this thing called sleeping and eating… and I’ve been trying very, very hard to unplug from work, the blog and the world for just a while … Thank you so much for all of your kind words and blessings for our family at this very special time.
I’m kinda short on words these days (and sanity energy, to be honest), so I’m going to go off-book a bit and share mainly photos in this post. I’ve sourced as many items as possible at the bottom of the photos with links and such, but if you have any questions, leave me a comment and I’ll do my best to respond Some of what you see here are projects that I’m writing posts for… but just haven’t finished up yet. And some of what’s in here is one of a kind stuff that we found, inherited or thrifted – the basket pendant light, for example. We found it at a yard sale and retrofitted it into a ceiling fixture.
