You can find some great deals on travel with some of the more non-traditional carriers — but, you do have to play their game — which I shared in this post on Playing the Game with Allegiant Airlines.

Family Summer Vacation Ideas
Summer gives you a little more time to stretch your legs — and we did a trip to Yellowstone that I detailed in this post: Yellowstone for Families. I won’t lie — parts of that trip were really rough, but I give some awesome tips to make your trip better than mine!

Best Family Vacation Spots in the US
Southern California is great — not just because it holds the happiest place on earth (find out all my Disneyland Tips) but there are also tons of other options!
Hollywood can also be really fun while you’re there. You don’t automatically think family friendly when you think Hollywood (nor should you) but I have hunted down some awesome Family Friend Fun in Hollywood

Utah has a ton of national parks in a VERY small area. One year we did Kanab for spring break and absolutely loved it!
Just south of that you can head to Flagstaff Arizona and visit the Grand Canyon (I love that area of the US).
And, if you want to drive even further south — Tucson offers some fun family adventuers as well!
Car Travel
